Packing bags, posting away art materials, checking airline tickets, maps and hire car schedules, emails and phone calls back and forth planning the programs, then bags crammed with art materials, off on another adventure to central Queensland with Flying Arts for an artist in residence at schools in Collinsville.
Photos from a Flying Arts visit to St Michaels, a pretty little school nestled between bush and farmland near Bribie Island, screenprinting with grade 3 on library bags and making some artworks to go in the school foyer. The children sent me a surprise gift before Christmas: a box of 48 hand made thank you cards, each with their own message and drawings about screenprinting, art and trees!
