Sketching while travelling. It’s been a long time since I’ve sketched with watercolour. At art school many years ago I painted obsessively this way. Plein air painting during the long days allowed us time to study the architecture and landscape.  We chose dawn or dusk to begin our sketches, occasionally returning to resolve the sketch of the day before we moved on.
