woodfordia!

The past week I’ve been whisked off to the wonderful creative ocean of Woodford set up, and was willingly marooned there, printing and dyeing ducks and dots, eating wonderful vegetarian food at the Duck, listening to some magical music- often the setup jams and spontaneous music is the sweetest of all- drinking enough guiness to sleep like a baby, and amused that I feel so indulged and happy in my leaky tent in the mud.

One of the highlights for me was when day was done in the banner making tent, the crew found scraps and interesting rags and restitched them into garments for the festival, or printed onto them, There was  a butterfly costume created by Kerry, in the shed where I was working, and lots and lots of banners to mark the walkways around the festival. There extraordinary atmosphere created before the festival, and the sharing of stories, ideas and skills by so many travellers from around the globe. and our crew- Christine, Vashti, Matt, Sarah, Stephanie, Nathalie, Cheryl and the Extraordinary Penny Smith! What a celebration!

Another highlight during setup was a sublime music moment by Fiona, on the hill at sunset her voice drifting across the beautiful green, welcoming the hilltop sky watchers.
